Job Description:

Lync.NET is seeking a Client Services Representative to provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for its market leading document collation automation system > PackMan. The ideal candidate should have a bachelors degree and at least 1 year of experience performing direct customer service of desktop and/or server based applications.  Lync.NET offers a competitive salary and outstanding bonus plan with total compensation in excess of $75,000 per year plus an excellent benefits package including health, life, dental insurance, 401k, dependent care reimbursement account and 2 weeks paid vacation in the first year.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Handling incoming support calls, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems with not-so technical clients.
  2. Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of database driven desktop and server based applications.
  3. Web site management of a database driven web based application with content access controlled via login and password permissions.
  4. Writing queries and views in SQL and importing data via DTS.
  5. Training clients on the usage, administration and troubleshooting of PackMan.
  6. MS Office mail merges and automation via VBA and macros.
  7. Documenting and duplicating bugs in the lab, escalating issues as necessary and managing issues to resolution.
  8. Writing requirements for new releases via use cases.
  9. Writing test cases and performing validation tests on new releases and patches.
  10. Updating User & Administrative Manuals.
  11. Provide regular, on-going updates to customers regarding open issues.
  12. Work with sales staff to give product demonstrations and answer technical questions to prospective clients.

Desired Skills:

  1. Windows 2003 server and desktop management experience.
  2. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server Express experience.
  3. Adobe Acrobat experience with settings, tools and troubleshooting output and printing problems.
  4. Advent Axys or Schwab Portfolio Center is not required, however experience is a plus.
  5. Excellent writing skills, particularly via email to clients and internally on bug/enhancement documentation, solutions and workarounds.
  6. Great phone manners and verbal communication.
  7. Ability to manage multiple, highly detailed and deadline sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Analytical approach to requirements gathering and problem solving.
  9. Great attitude, energy and enthusiasm are essential.
  10. MS Live Meeting, Webex, VNC or other remote desktop sharing application experience.
  11. Bugzilla, Elementool or other bug and enhancement tracking application experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $25,000 to $50,000 base salary commensurate with experience.
